WHY DO YOU RACE? WHAT STARTED YOUR LOVE FOR ENDURANCE SPORTS?
I started running in 2008- I wanted to be able to run 3 miles. Only problem was I had never run over a mile. I was extremely unhealthy but after about 5 months I completed my first 5k in 29 minutes. From there I was bitten and I haven't stopped:)
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO WORKOUT AT KINGFIELD ENDURANCE?
When I started doing triathlons I felt as if it was such a lonely sport. Training at Kingfield has given me not only physical strength, but the friendships that I've gained with the coaches and the other athletes is amazing. I'm motivated everyday. I'm stronger and I feel better about myself.
WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK TO KINGFIELD ENDURANCE?
I've been training at Kingfield Endurance for over 6 months! I've had a personal record twice since I've started and I feel my body is the strongest it's ever been. It's nice saying that.
HOW HAS THE CROSSFIT TRAINING IMPACTED YOUR YOUR PERFORMANCE?
Well besides my PR's, I'm not sore after my races- which is a first for me!
DO YOU HAVE A MOTTO? SOMETHING YOU TELL YOURSELF WHEN YOU ARE FIGHTING THROUGH A WORKOUT?
A friend told me when a workout or race gets very tough, to just go on autopilot. To separate your mind from your body. (I believe she got this from local pro Gwen Jorgenson) I like to tell myself I can do anything for 30 min! :)
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORKOUT OR MOVEMENT?
I would say that it's the bike in the computrainer studio!

Anything with a good beat!
