WHY DO YOU RACE? WHAT STARTED YOUR LOVE FOR ENDURANCE SPORTS?

I race because it's hard and because it puts me in a place where there's nothing else except me and the perseverance to push myself even harder. Racing is a true test of mettle. My love of endurance sports started with running after college, once I began running half-marathons I realized that I needed a new challenge outside of just running, this led to my interest in multi-sport and ultimately racing triathlons. After completing an Ironman a few years ago alongside my husband, he suggested we try competitive bike racing. After my first season last year as a full fledged bike racer I knew I was hooked!

WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO TRAIN AT KINGFIELD ENDURANCE?

Meeting Anna in my first year of bike racing was the big reason as to why I started training at Kingfield. She is so inspirational, a butt kicker, and an all around awesome person to talk to. I knew after my first "foundations" session at Kingfield that it was going to totally change my racing and me as a competitive bike racer.

WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK TO TRAIN AT KINGFIELD ENDURANCE?

The people!! Also my fellow Kingfield teammates, and being in an atmosphere that is so energetic and positive. Kingfield is a powerful place filled with some of the hardest working people I've ever met.

HOW HAS THE CROSSFIT TRAINING IMPACTED YOUR ENDURANCE SPORTS PERFORMANCE? The strength program has definitely helped grow and strengthen the important muscles I need to race competitively and safely.

DO YOU HAVE A MOTTO? Shut up legs!!!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORKOUT OR MOVEMENT? My favorite workout is the Computrainer course rides. It's a blast and allows a certain level of competition in a non-threatening environment, it's also an insane workout!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD? Pizza. Traditional crust, tomatoes, basil, chicken, mozzarella cheese. Yum.

WHAT IS YOUR POWER SONG? So many! I love "5 More Hours" by Deorro. Or "Bang My Head" by Sia. (funny that those are two things I think during most road races.)
